FAB LAB Training

Faculty and Students:  Want to use the machines in the FAB LAB?

Training is mandatory before you use the FAB LAB equipment, however, there are many options available. Classes are free to UW-Stout faculty and students and are offered on all the machines in the lab.  If you have had no previous training, you must take the Laser Engraver/Vinyl Cutter training first; this class is a prerequisite for all other classes. Training is also available on the other machines in the lab:  the ShopBot CNC Router, uPrint 3D Printer, Roland Mini-Mill and Torchmate 4x4 Plasma Table.

There is also a 5 week training session offered on Fridays that will go over every machine in the FAB LAB - no prerequisite. Sign up for this session if you would like to be trained on all the machines with the same group of people for the duration of training.  Once the sessions start, no new users will be admitted to the group. Space is limited.
