The Dining Service at UW-Stout is self-operated. This means the university owns and operates the service rather than contracting out for it. This self-operation guarantees you a most responsive staff and the best return on your dining dollar.
University Dining Service operates in three facilities: Merle Price Commons, Tainter Hall and the Memorial Student Center. The Memorial Student Center building has numerous dining locations. Click here for a quick summary of all our Retail Dining Operations.
University Dining Service is a member of the National Association of Colleges and University Food Services, and the National Restaurant Association. Both professional organizations provide networks to vast resources in the food service industry which enables University Dining Service to more readily meet the changing needs of our clientele.
The Dining Service is an integral part of the student life experience.
All operations strive to provide enjoyable dining and social experiences.

Student Input
Your input is encouraged daily via a "Feedback Board" in each
cafeteria, suggestion forms at the entrance of the Pawn and Terrace, and
via our online feedback form. Students
may also serve on the Dining
Advisory Committee or take feedback to a committee member. In addition,
student managers, managers, or leads are readily available in the dining
areas. Surveys, conducted every year, provide you the opportunity to suggest
changes which you believe will benefit the student body. In addition, any
and all comments are welcomed directly to the Director
of University Dining or by phone at 232-2134. All comments will be given
a direct and sincere response.
