Customer Satisfaction

Advisory Committee

Student Input

Your input is encouraged via a "feedback board" in each cafeteria, suggestion forms located in each retail outlet at any time, and via our online feedback form. Students may also serve on the Dining Advisory Committee or take feedback to a committee member. In addition, student managers, managers or leads are readily available in the dining areas to happily answer any questions. Surveys, conducted every year, provide you the opportunity to suggest changes which you believe will benefit the student body. In addition, any and all comments are welcomed directly to the Director of University Dining or by phone at 232-2134. All comments will be given a direct and sincere response.

University Owned and Operated

The Dining Service at UW-Stout is self-operated.  This means the university owns and operates the service rather than contracting out to a third party. Self-operation guarantees you the best return on your dining dollar and a responsive staff that is genuinely dedicated to enhancing your campus experience.

University Dining Service (UDS) operates cafeterias, food courts, express units, catering, concessions, and convenience stores all originating or located in three main facilities: Merle Price Commons, North Point, and the Memorial Student Center.

UDS is member of the National Association of Colleges and University Food Services (NACUFS), and utilizes the services of the National Restaurant Association. Both professional organizations provide networks to vast resources in the food service industry which enables us to more readily meet the changing needs of our clientele.

The Dining Service is an integral part of the student life experience.  All operations strive to provide enjoyable dining and social experiences as well as a valuable developmental experience for our student employees.
