Placement tests are given in English, Mathematics, and Foreign Languages (Spanish, French and German). The purpose of the placement tests is to provide the university with information to place students at the correct level of academic skills in a particular subject.
New students attending UW-Stout are required to take the UW-System Placement Tests to determine Math and English placement levels. Please contact an advisor in the Advisement Center if you have further questions. Current and Transfer students should also contact their advisor if they have questions regarding the need to take a placement test.
Future testing dates to be determined.
Please call (715) 232-2468 for an appointment.
The cost for each exam is an extra $5.00 per test ($10.00 if you are taking Math and English) payable by cash or check, check made out to UW-Stout. This is due on the day of the test. The $30.00 UW placement test fee will still be assessed on your first tuition bill.
Remember to bring a non-graphing calculator and a #2 pencil.
