UW-Stout recognizes that a range of personal problems can affect the lives of employees as well as their job performance. In most instances, the employee will overcome these problems and the effect on job performance will be negligible. In other cases, the employee may require additional assistance in order to recover the previous level of productivity and job satisfaction.
About the Program
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential, university sponsored service for employees and their immediate family members. The EAP provides professional consultation to assist in the prevention and resolution of personal problems that may affect job performance. The program is designed to link people who have personal concerns to services or agencies that are able to assist in resolving their problems.
