Would you like to earn college credit before enrolling in
classes at UW Stout?
Would you like to earn between 3 and 16 credits for $105.00?
The CLEP is a series of computer based exams that allows you an opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge in English, Spanish, French, Math, History, Biology, Chemistry and many other subjects and earn college credit for it. The exams are composed of multiple-choice questions and are 90 minutes long. Official score reports are available immediately after the test, allowing you to select appropriate courses when scheduling classes.
Successful Completion of any of these exams gives you an opportunity to advance more quickly through college. It saves money too!
CLEP exams are offered everyday by appointment. The results are obtained immediately upon completion, so they can be considered when your class schedule is made. (The English Exam results can take up to 3 weeks, but your schedule can be altered from home.)
As soon as you receive your confirmation letter from the UW-Stout Advisement Center confirming your registration date, you can call to sign up to take the CLEP exam.
