How do I activate my UW-Stout e-mail account?
Activate your UW-Stout email account.You will need your Student ID number. It is on the back of your Stout One student ID card.
How do I search for courses in Access Stout?
Use this general access page to search for courses in Access Stout without having to sign in with your username and password, or sign in to your Access Stout account to search for courses.
The StoutOne card is your campus ID. You will need this if you are receiving a financial aid refund or using on-campus resources such as the library.
How do I get my books for online courses?
You will need to fill out a distance education text book request form to receive your books for online courses.
Where do I go for password assistance?
The Helpdesk can assist with creating and recovering your password.
You will use the same password to access your UW-Stout email, D2L (Learn@Stout) and AccessStout.
You will be notified annually with instructions for changing your password.

Where can I find descriptions of courses?
The Undergraduate and Graduate Bulletins provide general information about admission policies, tuition and fees, student services, and scholastic standards. Specific information is provided for each degree program as well as descriptions for all courses and their prerequisites.

I can't register because of a hold.
All students are required to have a signed Fee Payment Agreement form on file with the Student Business Services Office in order to register for courses. This form does not obligate you to use the payment plan, but merely indicates you have read and understand the payment plan and any finance charges that could be applied if you do not pay in full by the due date.
Where can I find general registration information?
The Registration and Records Office handles everything related to registration including advisement, grading policies, general education requirements, and more.
How do I reapply to graduate school?
Contact the Graduate Office for reapplication procedures.
How do I change my contact information on file with UW-Stout?
Use the address update form to keep your contact information current.
How do I get my grades and transcripts?
You can view your grades and obtain an unofficial transcript in Access Stout. Official transcripts can be requested through the Registration and Records Office.
How do I drop an online course?
During the first two weeks of the semester it is possible to add or drop a course through Access Stout. After this period you will need to contact your instructor and program director to add or drop.
