Sponsored by the University of Wisconsin System, the Pigeon Lake Summer Session is a joint enterprise of 14 campuses of the UW System. Pigeon Lake Field Station is located on the north shore of beautiful Pigeon Lake in the heart of the Chequamegon National Forest, 30 miles from Lake Superior in Northern Wisconsin. Pigeon Lake Field Station has been operated as a combined instruction research facility since 1960, offering programs in a variety of disciplines including biology, ecology, outdoor education, nature study, art, geology, mapping and many other areas of education.
