University of Wisconsin - Stout

As Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, it is my genuine privilege to welcome you to the College’s webpage. I invite you to take a few minutes to browse the website and learn more about the faculty, staff, students, programs, centers, and activities that make the College of Arts and Sciences a vital and dynamic force in the campus life of the University.

The College of Arts and Sciences provides the fundamental liberal arts foundation – essential Communication Skills, Analytical Reasoning, the Humanities, the Arts, and the Social, Behavioral, and Natural Sciences – necessary to the education of all University of Wisconsin-Stout students.

Through our programs we offer the students the tools to develop the knowledge, skills, and talents to prepare them for challenging careers in: Studio Art, Graphic, Industrial, Interior, and Multi-media Design, Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, Technical Communication, and Applied Science.

Our faculty and staff are currently at work on exciting new projects in areas like bioinformatics, nanotechnology, applied social sciences, and entertainment technology.

So, once again, on behalf of the College, welcome! Spend some time with us and see why we believe that the University of Wisconsin-Stout is, indeed the “school of choice for the 21st Century” and why the College of Arts and Sciences is at the heart of the University’s “hands on – minds on” approach to higher education.
