Plagiarism is the attempt to pass off as one’s own someone else’s ideas or exact words. This is a violation of academic honesty. Therefore:

  1. Written assignments which are taken either verbatim or paraphrased from an unacknowledged source, published sources or a paper previously written by the student for another course or by another student will be given an F.
  2. A student who submits a major paper, such as a term paper, taken either verbatim or paraphrased from an unacknowledged source, published sources, or a paper previously written by the student for another course or by another student may be given an F for the course.
