The Mission of the Department of Art and Design of the University of Wisconsin – Stout is to educate professional artists and designers through theory, history, and practice; to develop articulate practitioners and art advocates; to maintain curriculum, programs, and technologies relevant to current directions in teaching, research, and society; to promote diversity; to enrich the learning environment and community through art and design.
