How To Drop Off Your Resume
Ideally, to make the best impression possible, you should personally meet with employers during the Career Conference. However, if you don't have enough time to visit all the employers you want or can't attend the Career Conference for whatever reason, then drop your resume off with an employer before the conference.
Here is how to do it:
- Log in to Stout CareerLink on the left side of this page and then select the “Career Events” tab.
- Find the 3 “Career Conference 2008” days from the list of events and then select “Search Employers” on the far right side of the screen. Here you will be able to search for employers by major and by those offering co-op/internships or full time positions.
- To search based on your major, click on the add/remove button under the "Majors:" box. Select "All Majors", then select the college your major is in, select your major and then click "continue".
- Click on "search" and a list will appear with all of the employers who met your criteria and will be attending the career conference on that day.
- Click on the desired employer's name
- Then, on the LEFT side of the page, click on "Drop Resume
- Here you can click on "Select Documents" to select your resume and
leave a message with the resume as well
IMPORTANT
If the employer is interested in you, most likely you will be contacted for an interview. However, if you have not heard from the employer within a week after the conference you may want to contact them to determine your status. Don’t forget to copy the employers contact information for this purpose.
