Save the Date – February 19 - 21, 2018

Art & Design Week is professional development opportunity for students in the BFA programs of the School of Art & Design (SOAD).  This event is brought to you by UW-Stout Career Services and the School of Art and Design to help connect students with employers, design professionals and alumni.  Industry perspective and feedback is invaluable and will include portfolio reviews, panel discussions, and workshops.

Prep Week Workshops: 

Branding Your Resume

Located in Applied Arts 321 at 6pm, Open to all students

What is your brand? How do you convey your brand on a resume? In this workshop we will discuss strategies for combining content and creativity on your resume and portfolio. We'll also explore how to focus and balance your resume so that it conveys your design aesthetic and relevant experiences.

Marketing and Branding Your Professional Self

Located in Applied Arts 321 at 6pm, Open to all students

It is important to brand yourself as an emerging art and design professional. You will receive strategies for communicating over e-mail, in conversations and through social media so that you convey your abilities in a professional and convincing manner. Specific examples of how to leverage and build relationships through professional events such as Art & Design Week, among others will be discussed.
