What is OrgSync?

OrgSync is a web-based platform that allows you to connect with several organizations, departments, and students on campus! You can join a club’s OrgSync page and learn all about their activities, communicate with members or sign up to attend campus events. Think that’s great? OrgSync also allows you to find volunteer opportunities and track all of your service hours throughout your time at Stout! You can even make an e-portfolio that stays with you for life to showcase your work and involvement!

OrgSync makes your college experience a little easier by putting all of these fancy features in one easy-to-access place!

How do I log in?

There are lots of ways to access to the login page, but we’ll give you the easiest way! Click “Logins” at the top of the UW-Stout homepage to access all your campus logins. Under “Personal Accounts” is the link to OrgSync.

All you need to do is click the big green button that says “Click to Sign In With Your Campus ID”. Just type in your UW-Stout username and password (the same one you use for email), and you’ll be ready to explore OrgSync! Make sure to bookmark the page for easy access later.

How is OrgSync helpful for Student Organizations?

  • Really the possibilities are endless and we could take all day to tell you about its features.  But here are a few of the key ways it will help you the most!
  • Recruit members through creating a welcoming and interactive OrgSync page for your org! 
  • Maintain an accurate and detailed membership roster 
  • Store files and documents electronically with unlimited file storage 
  • Communicate with your members through internal messages, emails, news posts and texting 
  • Create events that will track your RSVP’s and advertise your events to the larger campus community 
  • Push critical information from your OrgSync page out to facebook 
  • Get rid of all that paper and create electronic forms 
  • Apply for a budget through the Stout Student Association 
  • Track membership dues 
  • Hold your annual officer elections in the fall or spring 
  • Create an easy to use website that automatically transfers information from your OrgSync page straight to the web
  • How’s that for making your life a bit easier?  Yea, we thought so.

How Does OrgSync Benefit Me as a Student?

OrgSync isn’t just a tool for our student organizations.  It also helps individual students on campus.  How?  Let us count the ways!

Search and join student organizations!
Search OrgSync using key words or explore specific categories. With over 145 student organizations on campus, there’s something for everyone to join!

Make a difference in the community!
Are you interested in service, or do you need volunteer hours for a course? OrgSync allows you to sign up for local volunteer opportunities and tracks all of your volunteer hours throughout your time at Stout. Check out the “Volunteer Here” portal on OrgSync to start your journey volunteering.

Stay Connected on Campus!
Someone is always planning something fun for you to do on campus! Student organizations and campus departments offer a wide range of events and OrgSync will help you find them! Just check the community calendar on OrgSync.

Track your Involvement!
For every organization that you’ve joined, officer position that you’ve held, events that you’ve attended or hours spent volunteering, OrgSync can track all of it for you in a co-curricular transcript. These are extremely helpful when reflecting on your out-of-classroom learning and preparing for interviews for those co-ops or “real-world job.” Employers want to know that you did more than just attend class (although, we highly recommend that too)

Build an e-portfolio!
How can you package all of your academic, involvement and work experience together? Through OrgSync’s e-portfolio! It allows you to add reflections and learning outcomes from all of your experiences, upload your resume or examples of your work and request references. The best part? It stays with you for life. So even after you graduate, you can update and make changes to it!
