The Duplicating Center is a high volume duplicating service using high-speed photocopiers. It serves UW-Stout faculty and staff, student organizations, and individuals associated with the university community. The center does not offer offset printing; the printing manager sends jobs that require color or press quality off campus.
The center specializes in work that can be done on 8.5" x 11" or 11" x 17" paper, in an assortment of colors.
Much of the work is sent to copiers electronically. The staff will work from customer’s electronic documents if they are sent as attachments to e-mail or provided on zip disk, floppy disk or CD.
In addition to copying, duplicating provides additional services of folding, binding, drilling, shrink wrapping and padding.
Office staff will help determine, on an individual basis, the most efficient method to produce each job by comparing cost, quality and speed of delivery. If it appears that an off-campus printer can handle an order best, the customer will be referred to the printing manager.
The Duplicating Center adheres to the UW-Stout Identity Standards, and will refer requests that do not adhere to that policy to the printing manager.
A rate chart is available that shows the base price structure. The cost of a job includes the base charge from the chart, the cost of the paper, and the labor for finishing. Most services are paid with a department requisition, but cash or checks are accepted for personal work for students and staff.
