The win, which was a rain-shortened six inning affair, came after a 9-6 day opening loss to St. Norbert. Donley ran her record to a perfect 3-0 on the season with the win. Stout (4-2) opened the game with a single run in the top of the first when Kaela Wold (So, Altoona) tripled and was driven in by Jamie Gorges (So, New London). Stout added their other run in the fourth inning when Erin O'Connell (So, Altoona) tripled, then came open when a pick off attempt was thrown into left field. Stout scored in the top of the seventh, but the rain threw out that inning. Against St. Norbert, Kim Caswell (Jr, Stanley) led off the game with a triple, but she was stranded and it became that kind of game for the Blue Devils. After allowing the Knights a 3-0 lead in the fifth, Stout scored four runs in the bottom of the inning, but gave up two runs in the sixth and four more in the seventh. Stout added two runs in the seventh, but stranded two runners. Caswell went 3-for-4 with the triple and two doubles. Tasha Rosenbrook (Fr, Bloomer) added a triple.
