STOUT GOES STONE COLD IN SECOND HALF TO FALL TO VITERBO

LA CROSSE - UW-Stout definitely did not need halftime. After shooting a blistering 64 percent in the first half, the Blue Devils went stone cold in the second half and fell to Viterbo University, 81-67, Wednesday, Dec. 20 in La Crosse.

The Blue Devils (7-4) could only manage to shoot 31 percent in the second half, while the V-Hawks (5-9), who trailed by only four at halftime, found the range and improved to 57 percent as they outscored Stout 50-32 after the break.

Both teams had three players score in double digits, but Viterbo got bigger numbers - much bigger - than Stout did. Stout's Pat Von Feldt (Sr, Stevens Point) scored 13, while Nate Templer (Fr, Beaver Dam) and Casey Chapman (So, Hartland) each scored 10 points.

The V-Hawks' Mike Brudos led all scores with 24 points. Keith Giroux had 20 points and Mike Glass finished with 13.
