WATERTOWN (October 7, 2007) - UW-Stout's Molly Loney (Jr, River Falls) hit the third best score of the day and finished sixth at the WIAC Women's Golf Championships at Windwood in Watertown Sunday.

Loney, coming into Sunday's final day of competition in a tie for 12th place after carding an 87, turned in an 80, trailing only the top two finishers in the meet, UW-Eau Claire's Meghan Sobotta and UW-Stevens Point's Jessica Urban. All five of Stout's performers either improved scores from the first day or matched them as Stout finished seventh overall. This was the second year the meet was held at Windwood and Stout dropped 28 strokes from their score from last year's championship.

The meet concludes the fall season. Stout will resume play again in April, 2008.
