2007 PREVIEW
The Blue Devils return their two top hitters in Linda Meyer (Sr, Cedarburg). and Kendra Pagel (Jr, Wausau). Meyer averaged 2.88 kills per contest, while Pagel put down 2.58 kills per game. Pagel is the team's leading blocker (0.96). Maggie Meixl (Jr, Mankato, Minn) will be called on to step into a larger role the season as both a hitter and blocker. Jenna Welsh (Sr, Abbotsford) returns as the setter with the most experience, last year working in as the second setter in a 6-2 formation. Casey Huntoon (Jr, Mantorville, Minn/Byron) was a steady force in the back row last season, as was Bridget Kelly (Jr, Dodge Center, Minn/Byron). Huntoon led the team in digs (4.75), finishing fifth in the league, as the team's libero. Kelly finished fifth in the WIAC in service aces (0.48). Stout finished with a non-conference record of 14-7, but had a more difficult time the always tough WIAC.
