Coach Meagan Frank
Meagan Frank begins her second year as the Blue Devil women's soccer head coach.
Frank, who took over at Stout less than a month before the 2006 preseason started, played and coached at NCAA Division I Colorado College, in Colorado Springs, Colo.
"I am really excited about the opportunities we have here," Frank said. "We hope to build on the positive things accomplished over the last several seasons."
Frank was an offensive center midfielder for the Tigers from 1993-96 and is currently 11th on the Colorado College career scoring list with 50 points on 18 goals and 14 assists. She is currently 10th on the all-time goals list and ninth in assists. A two-time all-academic team member, Frank was a team captain in 1996, her senior year, and was also the team most valuable player.

Frank was a volunteer assistant coach for the Tigers in 1999. She has coached several youth soccer teams in Englewood, Colo., including the Colorado Storm U-17 premier team, and the Cherry Creek Lightning U-16 premier team. She was an assistant coach at Harrison High School in Colorado Springs, Colo.
"I am looking forward to motivate them and bring them to the level as high as they can go," Frank said. "I want to keep them focused, driven and unified as a team."
As a youth player, Frank was a team member of the Colorado Olympic Development team.
Frank earned her undergraduate degree in English and taught English for three years at Cheyenne Mountain High School.
She currently lives in Menomonie with her husband Paul and their three children, Nate, Haley and Kiana.
Assistant Coach Mauricio Basurto
Mauricio Basurto begins his second year as the Blue Devil women's soccer assistant coach. But Basurto is no stranger to Stout soccer. He has been the men's club soccer head coach and adviser since 2003 and will remain in that capacity. A native of Mexico, Basurto played professionally for more than three years in his native country before coming to the United States where he attended Bethany Lutheran College in Minnesota. Basurto has also attended Mankato State, the University of Wisconsin and received a Cisco certification from MATC in Madison and Milwaukee. Along the way, he was the head high school soccer coach at Milwaukee Vincent for three years, has coached with the Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club, the Kansas City Soccer Club, the Minnesota YMCA team and with the Red Cedar Soccer Association in Menomonie. He is currently a network technician at UW-Stout and resides in Menomonie with his wife, Pauline, and their four children, Ari, Addison, Noah and Charlotte.
