Coach Josh Buchholtz
Josh Buchholtz begins his fifth season as the Blue Devil men's track and field coach and his first as the Blue Devil women's track and field coach.
In 2006, the Blue Devil men's track and field team finished seventh at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Indoor Championships and seventh at the WIAC Outdoor Championships in 2005.
Buchholtz was an assistant coach at UW-La Crosse for four seasons, working with the high jump, sprinters and the pole vault. Prior to beginning his coaching career, Buchholtz earned two Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) pole vault titles (1998 indoor and outdoor), and earned All-America honors in the event.

During Buchholtz's coaching career, he has had a hand in producing eight individual All-American athletes and five WIAC individual champions. In spring of 2003, Buchholtz guided five Blue Devils to the NCAA Division III championships. During the 2004 track season, Buchholtz guided his first Stout charges to All-America honors, one individual and a relay team.
Previous to coming to Stout, Buchholtz picked up valuable experience with the Eagles' cross country programs, including administrating the prestigious Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitational.
Buchholtz earned his degree from UW-La Crosse in physical education in 2001. Buchholtz, a native of Bloomer, Wis., coached the Blue Devil men's cross country teams for three years. In addition to his coaching duties, Buchholtz is an instructor of a wide variety of classes in the physical education department. Buchholtz and his wife, Heather, reside in Menomonie, and have one daughter, Laken.
