2007 MINI-PREVIEW :
Duey Naatz takes over for his first year as the head coach with the Blue Devils after nearly two decades as a UW-Stout assistant coach. The Blue Devil offense returns running back Andy Reese, who was a first team all-conference pick in 2005. Quarterback will get a thorough look as seniors Tanner Kattre and Kyle Opahle lead the group. Kattre was the team's second leading rusher last season. Wide receivers Shawn Korth and Dan Lytle lead the outside crew, while Chase Unbehaun returns at tight end. On the offensive line, Stout returns Dustin Tervelt and Jamie Hinker as starters. Defensively, Stephen Schils leads the linebacking crew. The second team all-conference pick returns as the team's leading tackler with 71 hits and 10 tackles for loss. Eddie Hrdina saw considerable action at linebacker, as did Brock Stimson and Jake Pomputis. Up front, Grant Daigle and Matt Kuenzli saw a good deal of time. In the backfield, Wendell Eskridge has seen the field weekly since his freshman days.
