SSS Grant-in-Aid: College Completion Grant - Purpose

Purpose: The purpose of the College Completion Grant is to assist with the financial burdens of attending and completing an undergraduate degree. The grant award is designed to close the gap between a student's financial aid and unmet need (and/or) reduce loan indebtedness (and/or) the need to work excessive hours to make ends meet. The goal of Student Support Services and the College Completion Grant is to insure that students progress with their educational endeavors.

Awards: Awarded Grants are distributed for the FALL 2006 term. Award amount is expected to range from $400-$1,000 (depending on student's unmet financial need, availability of grant funds, and student credit load). Students will be notified of pre-packaged grant award amount for the Fall term in mid-September.

Eligibility ( Must be:)

.  PELL GRANT Eligible through Federal Financial Aid during the 2006-2007 academic year
.  An active participant in Student Support Services-ASPIRE or Disability Services
.  Under 60 credits EARNED at the start of Fall semester 2006
.  Demonstrated commitment to completing college coursework

 

College Completion Grant Application

Student working with the ASPIRE Program are nominated by their Student Support Services Advisor. Contact YOUR ASPIRE Advisor for more details. The next cycle will be distributed shortly for the Spring 2007 semester.

Note: Those selected to participate in the 2007Spring GO-More Program will automatically receive a $2,200 College Complete Grant.
