                                                                                                                                   Policy No.  76-6
                                                                                                                                   Date:  6/23/76
COPING WITH UNSCHEDULED ACTS OF NATURE WHICH DISRUPT SCHEDULED INSTRUCTION, SUCH AS CUTOFF OF ENERGY SOURCES

A campus would be expected to ensure that the affected portion of scheduled instruction is recovered through one or more of the following procedures: truncated make-up sessions, mediated learning alternatives, special lectures, directed reading and study assignments, tutorial sessions, or work guides covering missed sessions’ materials. In short, the campus and its faculty should exert every effort to maintain course continuity and quality.

Where this type of disruption extends beyond five teaching days, the Chancellor should consult with the faculty and with the President regarding additional alternatives.
