T. E. Felton `57 retired from Nicolet Area Technical College in 1995. He was an automotive instructor.

Linda Arzoumanian ’64,
has been nominated for a Life Time Achievement award which is to be given on Mar. 1, 2017 by Tucson Business magazine.

Dr. Ron Hull `66, published his sixth novel, American Mole: Aryan Nation in November.  In addition he has published his autobiography and two books of short stories.

Barbara Swenson `67, is a GEAR UP Coordinator at Helen Bernstein High School and STEM Academy of Hollywood in Cali.

retired from Transdev Transportation in June 2015 after 14 years as the general manager of their Sebring, Florida facility.


1970s

Jean Brew `71, was named Dells-Delton Community Builder at the April Dells-Delton Community Supper.

Mike Samsa `71, retired after 38 years with MSB- Marshall & Swift/Boeckh

Henry Pawlus `71, retired from Moline Illinois School in 2010.  He is now teaching Adm. classes for Moose International in and around the upper Midwest, mostly in Illinois.

Peter Castrilli `71 is the senior vice president of programs serving Dept. of Defense and the U.S. Agencies, Cape Canaveral; Vandenberg AFB, Cali.

Robert Abitz `71, received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Wisconsin Technology Education Association on Mar. 2nd, 2017.

Lynne E. Baltzer `72, retired from Iowa State University College of Human Services. 

James Willis `72, retired from CastlePierce Printing after being employed there for the past 25 years.

John Plank `74 retired after 43 years in the packaging business, lastly from Boxboard Products-Greensboro, N.C. as director of design. He now resides in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

David Stout `75 retired in August from Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. Allentown, Pa. Richard Tepler `75, authored “Cook with Me, Croix Holland”.

Jan Every Fink `76
retired on March 31, 2017 after serving 27 years in Child and Youth Services for the Department of the Army at Fort McCoy. She received a Department of the Army Superior Civilian Service Award for her career accomplishments which significantly improved the quality of life for military families.

Barbara Van Doorn `78, was named Wisconsin’s Special Services Teach of the year for the 2016-2017 school year.  She has been with the Lake Holcombe School District for 23 years. 

Susan May `78 MS `91, was appointed to the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center’s Board of Directors. 

Rebecca Bell `79, has been named Best Attorney in Golden Valley, Minn. four times by the Sun Post.

 

1980s

Carol Friesen `80 was named the Indiana Honored Dietitian of the Year by the Indiana Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in April 2017.

John Gehrke `80 retired from teaching 34 years. The last 29 were in building trades at Whiteside Area Career Center in Sterling, Ill. He also set the school record for the most unused sick days. (431 days)

Laura McDonnell Mead `80 retired from 3M after 37 years. She was the senior training specialist/global supply chain super user lead.

Pamela A. Mero Wolf `80 retired on July 1st, 2016 after 36 years with 3M Company.

Richard “Rik” Blyth `80 recently accepted the position of general manager at the historic La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

, is the production accountant for NBC/Universal TV show “Chicago Med” for the second season.

Jeffrey Kluever `80, was appointed as the executive director of Business Health Care Group.

Kevin D. Wilde `80, retired after 34 years from General Electric and General Mills.

Wayne Hoffman `80, returned from retirement to become the new part-time technology education teacher at Stockbridge Public Schools in the Fox Cities.

Anne Axelsen `83, opened Grantie Anne’s Studio in Sparta.

Daniel Menden `83, retired from Harley Davidson in Aug. 2016 and now works as Founder and Managing Director of Mensch Learning Solutions, a training consulting firm.

Karen Hague ’83, joined Grocery Outlet in Emeryville, Cal. as Vice President of Human Resources.

, was appointed as the first head of the Wegmans School of Health and Nutrition and professor of Health Sciences at the Rochester Institute of Technology.  She also received the Research of the Year award from the Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior.

, is the senior product architect at LimoLink, Inc in Marion, Iowa.

Bachan Ramdhan `85 retired from ministry of education after 37 years of service as chief examiner national examination council.

Chris Calawerts `85, was appointed president of Oshkosh door, an industry leader in door manufacturing in Oshkosh.

Duey Fimreite `85 was appointed as director of research and development at CoreFX Ingredients in Chicago, Ill.

, is the vice president of human capital at Rogers Behavioral Health.

Brad Kunst `86 has started as an analyst in the Business Intelligence & Analytics Department at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City, Iowa.

Darrel Christenson `86 was elected treasurer of the National Council on Independent Living (NCIL).

Diane Schafer `86 celebrated 30 years in the food industry with Kraft Foods.

, was appointed superintendent for the Wisconsin State Patrol. 

Scott Stuckey `88 was appointed general manager of the new Omni Louisville Hotel and Residences in Louisville, KY.

, was named the Illinois Drafting Teacher of the year in 2016 by the Illinois Drafting Educators Association.  Jeff teaches CAS, architecture, engineering and animation at Lockport Township High School in Lockport, Ill.

Carol Schomburg `90, is the director of Quality Assurance at Evine, an omni-channel retailer in Eden Prairie, Minn.

George Demou `90, is the president & CEO of Avtex Solutions in Bloomington, Minn. 

Jay Link `90, owner of Link’s Wild Safaris was awarded the Pantheon award at the 2017 GSCO Slam Quest Convention in Las Vegas. He is the eleventh individual and youngest recipient of the award.

, was appointed executive director of the United Way of Sheboygan County. 

David Reeves `91, was appointed director, culinary operations at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He has also been elected by his peers to be the national president of the Association for Healthcare Foodservice.

Lisa Lybert Adams `91 is a regional vice president of Choice Hotels International. She has 17 direct hires that cover eight states and approximately 1,200 hotels.

Sherry Noska `91 has been appointed as the general manager of Cobblestone Hotel & Suites and Wissota Chophouse in downtown Stevens Point.

Tina Feigal `91 released “Present Moments Parenting: Your Guide to a Peaceful Life with Your Intense Child”

Tina Feigal `91 has authored a new book, Present Moments Parenting: The Guide to a Peaceful Life with your Intense Child. The Mom’s Choice Award, Gold Category, was issued to the book in May 2017. Tina is the director of family engagement at Anu Family Services.

, won the primary election for Superintendent of Colbert County Schools in Tuscumbia, AL. Dr. Satchel officially takes office on January 17th, 2017.

John Zimmerman `93 was appointed athletic director at Janesville Parker School.

Matt Saumer `94 is the general manager of a TownePlace Suites by Marriott. This completes his goal of managing all of Marriott’s select service properties.

Erik Sletten `95, has been commissioned to create an art piece to commemorate the August 2 opening of the St. Croix Crossing.

, received the Presidential Award for Teaching in Mathematics and Science.  He is one of 213 teachers from across the U.S. to be honored. 

Karen Lee Cartwright `95 retired from teaching in Wisconsin to move to North Dakota and teach at the Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch.

Carrie Briones `98, is the Legislative Analyst at Driver and Vehicle Services for the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.

Juan Macias `98 was appointed engineering manager for the Armament Systems Division for OrbitalATK.

Dawn Knauf `99 is a customer case coordinator for the State of WI Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.

Kevin Duffy `99, joined Consolidated Construction Co. Inc., a full-service design/build firm headquartered in Appleton, as a senior project manager.

Christine Fuller Stoppa `99, is the director of sales and marketing at Sarah Angst Cards in Bozeman, Mont.

Greg Larsen `01 was awarded the 2015/2016 Middle School Teacher of the Year by Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest.  Greg is a Family and Consumer Science Teacher at Roseville Middle School in Roseville, Minn.

John Almos `01, was named a finalist of the Woodie Flowers Award which is named after one of the supporters of F.I.R.S.T (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology).

Ryan Greenheck `01, was featured on the March 2017 cover of Ceramics Monthly. He has a pottery shop in Philadelphia where he organizes artist studio sales and tours.

Phil Landgraf ’10, was recently named as the new veterans service officer for St. Croix County.

Corey Gustafson `11, recognized as one of 30 under 30 Rising Supply Chain Stars by THOMASNET.com and the Institute for Supply Chain Management.

Jody Hagman `11 was appointed the CEO of The Greater Menomonie Area Chamber of Commerce.

Travis Engel ’11, has been recognized as a recipient of the Herb Kohl Fellowship for his work in re-establishing the Ag-Tech program at Owen Withee High School.

Justin Luetschwager `11, received the Emerging Leader of the Year award from the Greater Minneapolis Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). This award is presented to a member that has displayed professionalism and commitment to excellence in the commercial real estate industry.
