The First Year Advising Program was initiated in Fall 2003 to address the specific needs of freshmen. First Year Advisors meet with freshmen to review key concerns and to make specific recommendations that help students get started on the right path. As a result, first year advisors are helping approximately 1,600 freshmen with their college transition.
The FYE program enhances the educational experience of first year students through increasing block scheduling, and sponsoring more academic activities and workshops.
