» Weekday Campus Visit

The best way for you to be certain that UW-Stout is where you want to be is to see it for yourself. While you're here, you'll have a chance to experience the atmosphere, and meet faculty and students in person.

Plan to spend a few hours with us, talking to admissions counselors, touring the campus, and meeting program directors or advisers for the programs you are interested in. You can request meetings with counselors in the Financial Aid Office or other support services to discuss more specific concerns you have.

If you're in the area, feel free to stop in. But if you call or write beforehand for an appointment with the Admissions Office, we'll be better prepared to answer your questions.

You may contact us at: 1 800-447-8688 or admissions@uwstout.edu

Office hours: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday

  • If you are interested in meeting with the Program Director of the BFA in Art, you must visit on a Friday with an arrival time of 9:00 a.m or 11:00 a.m.
  • Expect to be on campus for a minimum of two hours — an hour-long visit with an admissions counselor, paired with a walking tour of our campus.
  • Once registered, you'll receive a confirmation e-mail from campusvisits@uwstout.edu. Please add our e-mail address to your "safe senders" list. We'll be sending a follow-up e-mail with directions to campus with an attached parking pass.
  • We will attempt to schedule an appointment with a faculty member within the program you're interested in (we cannot guarantee availability). You will be notified upon arrival if we were able to secure an appointment.
  • We would like to offer our student visitors a free lunch in the Commons dining hall. Parents and visitors attending the visit with the student are welcome to eat as well at a price of $6.80 plus tax. Lunch is served in the cafeteria from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. If you are interested, please select your arrival time accordingly.
