What surprised you the most about college?
What didn’t surprise me about college! It goes by way too fast so make sure that you enjoy it while you can! You meet great people that will stay friends or mentors for life.

What is most memorable about your high school years?
My hair! I have naturally curly hair and never knew how to style it throughout my high school years. Looking back at pictures I am left wondering why? Why didn’t my friends, family, or even strangers tell me my hair was OUT OF CONTROL! I used to have the triangle head hairstyle and my girlfriends still like to bring that up for a good laugh!

Where are you originally from? What high school did you go to?
I am originally from Pequot Lakes Minnesota, home of the fishing bobber water tower! I attended Pequot Lake School until my senior year when I transferred to Brainerd High School.

What types of pets do you have?
I have a dog named Patches, an English springer spaniel and the fourth generation I have owned. I also have a quarter horse named Cruise and a few barn cats!

What is your favorite sandwich?
My favorite sandwich is the chicken cordon blue from the Albertville Tavern in Albertville, Wisconsin. Layers of ham atop a crispy chicken breast topped with melted Swiss cheese on a bun, but don’t forget the pickle on the side!

Who is your best friend and how did you meet?
My best friend is Ms. Courtney Suemnick, we met in the sixth grade when she transferred to my school. Her mom had been hired as the principal and she was the “principal’s daughter!” We came from totally different backgrounds. She was an only child who grew up on the lake where everything was sunshine and popsicles! I was the youngest of ten and grew up on a game farm where there were animals to take care of and siblings to fight with. We have many great memories that we share over and over about our childhoods and how we hit it off. We have remained great friends ever since!
