September 15, 2012  Apply online for admission.

September 15, 2012  Stout University Foundation Scholarship Application is available online.

Beginning October 2012
  Receive housing packet. Follow online process to sign your contract and pay the $125 housing pre-payment fee to hold your residence hall space.

October 12, 18, 19, 25, 26, 2012  Come visit us during our Campus Preview Days.

December 2012  Apply for a Department of Education Personal Identification Number (PIN) if you intend to apply for financial aid. The PIN registration is online.

January 1, 2013  FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) applications are available online, www.fafsa.ed.gov

January 30, 2013  Stout University Foundation Scholarship Application due.

February 1, 2013  Registration begins for Placement Test.  Regional Placement Testing FAQ  [PDF] 

February 15, 2013  Priority deadline for FAFSA (if student applied for Stout University Foundation Scholarships).

March 15, 2013  Priority deadline for FAFSA.

March 2013  Receive Registration Day information.

March 2013  Receive Housing room preferences and University Dining Plan selection information from University Housing.

March 2013  Financial Aid award letters posted to Access Stout.

Beginning April 1, 2013  Minnesota residents apply for reciprocity. Application available online, www.getreadyforcollege.org.

April 1, 2013  Wisconsin Covenant (Wisconsin residents only) confirmation paperwork is due. This must be sent to the state office. Documents postmarked after April 1 will not be accepted. This is the Covenant FAFSA deadline as well.

May 22, 23 and 24  First Year Student Registration and Orientation (one day event).  May 22 and 23 are reserved for Honor Students and Athletes.

May 2013  Receive roommate/residence hall assignment, and residence hall services booklet from University Housing.

June 2013  Sign the Fee Payment Agreement (directions here) .

June 2013  Be sure to request final transcripts showing graduation date from high schools, colleges and universities to be sent to Admissions.

June 4, 5, 6, 7, 18, 19, 20 and 21  First Year Student Registration and Orientation (one day event).

June/July 2013  Receive parking permit application from the Parking Services Office.

July 30, 2013  Final high school transcripts must be received by Office of Admissions.

July/August 2013  Activate your Stout OneCard.

August 2013  Logon to Access Stout for Fall 2013 billing information. Receive move-in instructions from University Housing. Master Promissory Notes (MPN) and Perkins loan promissory notes signed online prior to beginning classes.

September 1, 2013   Move in to residence hall. New Student Orientation and Laptop Rollout.

September 4, 2013  Classes begin.
