University of Wisconsin - Stout

  1. UW-Stout begins accepting applications on September 15 of each year for the following fall and March 15 of each year for the following spring.
  2. Obtain a University of Wisconsin System Application for Admission from your high school guidance counselor or apply online the fall of your senior year.
  3. Complete the application and return it to your counselor along with a $35 check or money order made payable to UW-Stout. This is a non-refundable application fee. If you apply online, you may pay the fee by debit or credit card as part of that process.
  4. Your guidance counselor will send your application, $35 application fee (if you did not pay that online), and an official copy of your high school transcripts to the Admissions Office.
  5. You will also need to have your ACT scores sent. When you register to take the ACT or SAT, simply list UW-Stout as one of the schools you want your test scores sent to. They will then automatically be sent to us.
  6. Upon receipt of the complete application materials, the review process will begin. This process may take up to four weeks. You will then receive a decision letter regarding the status of your application.
  7. If you have applied for admission and have not received a response within four weeks, please feel free to contact the Admissions Office at 1 800-44-STOUT.

Online/Electronic Application: UW-Stout offers prospective students the option of applying for admission online through UW System.
