- UW-Stout begins accepting applications on September 15 of each year for the following fall and March 15 of each year for the following spring.
- Obtain a University of Wisconsin System Application for Admission from your high school guidance counselor or apply online the fall of your senior year.
- Complete the application and return it to your counselor along with a $35 check or money order made payable to UW-Stout. This is a non-refundable application fee. If you apply online, you may pay the fee by debit or credit card as part of that process.
- Your guidance counselor will send your application, $35 application fee (if you did not pay that online), and an official copy of your high school transcripts to the Admissions Office.
- You will also need to have your ACT scores sent. When you register to take the ACT or SAT, simply list UW-Stout as one of the schools you want your test scores sent to. They will then automatically be sent to us.
- Upon receipt of the complete application materials, the review process will begin. This process may take up to four weeks. You will then receive a decision letter regarding the status of your application.
- If you have applied for admission and have not received a response within four weeks, please feel free to contact the Admissions Office at 1 800-44-STOUT.
Online/Electronic Application: UW-Stout offers prospective students the option of applying for admission online through UW System.
