Academic Affairs Administrative Team

Introduction:

The Academic Affairs Administrative Team (AAAT) is advisory to the Provost and composed of the academic leadership of the Division of Academic and Student Affairs. It exists to provide recommendations to the Provost on matters concerning academic programming and instruction at the University. It also serves as a communication device to assure understanding of academic activities.

Purposes:
AAAT exists

  1. to provide recommendations to the Provost on those matters dealing with academic and student affairs that are assigned as a part of the Provost's responsibility.
  2. to provide intradivisional communication between the major academic units.
  3. to provide a forum for the leadership of Academic Affairs to discuss questions and issues dealing with academic programs, instruction, and assessment,
  4. and to research best practices and recommend improvement.

Membership:
The following positions are represented on the AAAT:

  • Provost, chairperson
  • Associate Vice Chancellors (Provost's deputy is vice chair)
  • Assistant Vice Chancellor for Diversity
  • Dean, College of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics
  • Dean, College of Education, Health and Human Sciences
  • Dean, College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Dean, College of Management
  • Dean of Students
  • Director of Enrollment Services
  • Registrar 
  • Chair of the Faculty Senate
  • Vice President for Academic Affairs of the Stout Student Association

Authority:
AAAT is an advisory body and reports to the Provost. The AAAT's recommendations are made to the Provost, who in turn makes those specific recommendations to the Chancellor for his final approval.
